Gorgeous Silverado Resort Wedding

Apr 27, 2020

It’s so hard to believe that it has been a whole year since Jess & Patrick’s gorgeous Silverado Resort Wedding! I had always wanted to plan a wedding at Silverado Resort, so when Jess & Patrick asked me to be their planner, I could barely contain my excitement!

On another note, I am currently writing this post while sipping on a cup of iced coffee, shocking I know! And you are probably wondering why that is even relevant, but it is, I promise!

Early on in the planning process, I met up with Jess at their apartment and she immediately offered me a glass of iced coffee. I knew in that moment that we would get along just great haha! It was also that very day that Jess introduced me to my favorite iced coffee beverage at home. So thank you Jess!

But let’s get back to the important stuff – chatting about their stunning spring wedding at Silverado Resort. The venue has so many beautiful spots that you can hold your ceremony & reception, so it’s no secret why so many couples choose to have a Silverado Resort wedding. And once you see Jess & Patrick’s gallery, you’ll know exactly what I mean!

Getting Ready Details

I always love to check in on my bride & groom when they are getting ready! On the morning of their wedding, I popped in to see Jess & her ladies first while they were getting all glammed up by Bay Area Beautiful. When I arrived, Jess was simply glowing and there was such an energy & excitement in the air – it was contagious! Kimberly MacDonald captured it all below!

Meanwhile, Patrick & his groomsmen started off the morning playing a round of golf, so I caught up with them when they were finished. Silverado Resort is such an expansive property and set on a gorgeous golf course, which means that you get to take a fun golf cart from place to place! So I hopped in my golf cart to go check on the guys!

Dreamy First Look & Bridal Party Pics in The Grove

It was finally time for Jess & Patrick’s first look, so we headed over to The Grove! The Grove at Silverado Resort is one of my favorite spots on the property, nestled between two golf courses & surrounded by towering oak trees.

The beauty of this spot speaks for itself and was the perfect & most picturesque backdrop for their first look. Check out these touching photos of their first look with each other.

Fun fact: I absolutely love tagging along to the first look, and always try to sneak away from my set up duties to see it. It is one of my favorite moments to witness!

Following their first look, we also used this same spot for our stunning bridal party photos. We even brought along the couples’ adorable pup Piper to take part in the picture taking fun.

Gorgeous Florals

I can’t share this gorgeous wedding without talking about the insane florals that Jaynie from Nature Rules created for us. Jaynie used lots of stunning white florals, beautiful succulents and tons of textural greenery to add visual interest to our simple, yet classic color palette.

Patrick’s Boutonniere

Patrick’s succulent boutonniere may be the cutest little bout I have ever seen! Such a simple, yet unique design for the groom and all of his groomsmen! Don’t you love it?

Jessica’s Stunning Bouquet

Jessica’s bridal bouquet deserves a moment! Working with a simple color palette gave us an opportunity to play with some really fun textures and florals. Jaynie used white Anemones, Spirea, Eucalyptus and Dusty Miller to create this beauty! And it was simply stunning!

Jess also tied special picture charms around the stems in honor of her family members that are no longer with us. This way she could keep them close to her. Such a personal and sentimental touch!

Amazing Cascading Floral Arch

When we started chatting about floral design, Jessica told me that she really wanted a floral arch with cascading florals. I knew immediately that she was speaking my language & couldn’t wait to collaborate with Nature Rules on bringing Jess’ vision to life.

Jaynie’s floral design came out even better than I could have imagined and it might be one of my favorite floral arches to date! She created this beautiful ceremony backdrop using tons of white roses, overflowing eucalyptus, white Snap Dragons and hanging glass orbs with candles. So so so romantic!

Ceremony in the Mansion Gardens

Ok, back to the wedding! Jess & Patrick exchanged vows in front of their family & friends on the gorgeous Mansion Gardens lawn at Silverado Resort.

Piper may have stolen the show! She strutted down the aisle towards her Patrick and honestly, it was the cutest thing ever! She also escorted her humans down the aisle right after they were announced as husband and wife for the first time! The perfect family moment!

Reception on the Fairway Deck

Oh hey, it’s me! Kimberly snapped this photo of me setting up and putting the final touches on our reception space before we invited guests in!

Wedding planner sets up reception decor

Following the ceremony & cocktail hour the guests were escorted onto the Fairway Deck, where they enjoyed dinner overlooking Silverado Resort’s expansive golf course.

Our stunning head table was the focal point of the reception, draped in dusty blue linen and sprinkled with tall gold candlesticks & long green garland to create a romantic ambiance. Our guest tables featured crisp white linens with dusty blue napkins, paired with the prettiest white & green floral centerpieces!

One of my other favorite things to do is repurpose florals, especially from the ceremony into the reception. And this is exactly what we did for Jess & Patrick! We moved their gorgeous floral arch from their ceremony to their reception space and put it behind their seats at their head table.

It was the perfect way to frame the couple & also created a stunning backdrop. We also repurposed the garland from the ceremony chairs onto our head table. Reuse those beauties so that you can enjoy them all night long!

Their Funfetti Cake!

I also cannot forget to mention Jess & Patrick’s Funfetti cake by Cake Bloom complete with succulent floral accents! I always make it a point to make sure I get a little taste of cake and this one was delicious, not to mention nostalgic!

Stunning Sunset photos

And last but not least… No wedding is complete without stunning sunset photos! And let me tell you, Kimberly MacDonald has a knack for capturing the most gorgeous light. I snuck the couple out for these photos in between dinner & dancing and man, were they worth it!

I always recommend that my couples save 15-20 mins to sneak away during their reception to take pictures during golden hour! You won’t regret it!

Jess & Patrick, your wedding at Silverado Resort was such a dream! Thank you for trusting me with your special day. I loved every second of it. Wishing you the happiest 1st Anniversary!
